Understanding Cricket (1985, 2006)

This book was aimed at the lounge lizard cricket watcher who cut their teeth on the 50 over game and progressed to Test cricket.  It’s thesis is that for cricket to be appreciated it must be learned slowly. Illustrations and cartoons are by Bob Dikkenberg. It was published by Rigby and brilliantly distributed including through checkouts at Woolworths. It took six weeks to write and the print run of 10,000 sold out. A second revised edition was published by Axiom.
